Bolero & More

Artistic Director Victoria Morgan celebrates her past decade with Cincinnati Ballet by highlighting triumphs from the last 10 years, and creating a world premiere to Ravel's mesmerizing BOLERO. Favorite choreographer Val Caniparoli offers The Bridge, his compelling ballet based on the tragic fate of two lovers in war-torn Bosnia who became known as "the Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo."

Twyla Tharp, Plus

Introducing Cincinnati Ballet's first-ever piece from modern dance icon and famed Broadway (Movin' Out) choreographer Twyla Tharp, a living legend. Her exhilarating Baker's Dozen thrills with unexpected moves packed with humor and brilliance. Audiences will also be treated to a ballet in the energetic and agile style of European choreographer Jorma Elo. Rounding out the evening is a jazzy world premiere with rapid-fire footwork from Ballet-Master-in-Chief Devon Carney to the energetic rhythms of the Dave Brubeck Quartet from their early hit album, Time Out.
